"Play ball!" For college baseball players and devoted fans it's the two greatest words in the English language. For members of the NC State Baseball team, it's about time.
This Friday, February 3rd, NC State's Boys of Summer take to the field to open the 2006 season. The Pack entertains Delaware State at 3 PM in the first of a three-game homestand.
Wolfpack fans won't miss a single pitch, thanks to the Wolfpack Sports Network. Every single game will be broadcast over flagship station WKNC 88.1 FM and through the Yahoo subscription service online at GoPack.com, the official website of NC State Athletics. Veteran broadcaster Dave Slade will call the play by play during the early season broadcasts. He'll turn things over to Gary Hahn and Tony Haynes once they finish out their basketball broadcasts.
On dates when there are conflicts with the NC State Women's Basketball broadcast the games will be joined in progress on WKNC. They will still be available in their entirety on GoPack.com.
The Wolfpack has high hopes for the coming season. Led by Coach Elliott Avent, now entering his 8th season at the helm, the Pack is looking to make it back to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight year.
Follow the action all season long on the Wolfpack Sports Network. And, remember "Play ball and Go Pack!"
