Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor track's Amy Kelly and soccer's Joey Bracker.

It's tough to catch Amy Kelly. She's a standout on the NC State Women's Track team. She's also ahead of the class when it comes to academics. The sophomore from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has compiled a 3.70 Total Grade Point Average in her Psychology major. Amy was named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005. She also earned a spot on the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 academic year.

Joey Bracker gets his kicks playing on the NC State Men's Soccer team. The junior from Massapequa, New York has scored with a 3.42 Total Grade Point Average in his Biological Sciences major. Joey made the NC State Dean's List in both the spring of 2004 and 2005. He was also named to the ACC Honor Roll for both the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 academic years.
Congratulations to both Amy and Joey and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
