Raleigh, N.C. - After six rounds of qualifying, three former NC State men’s golfers successfully went on to earn a Nationwide Tour Card last week at the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course in La Quinta, California. Garth Mulroy, David Sanchez and Marc Turnesa all competed in the final stage of qualifying, and earned full Nationwide Tour status.
Broken down into three stages, NC State’s former golfers had a strong second stage showing to advance to that final stage. Mulroy was the top golfer in action at Arizona, while Sanchez finished behind him in second. At Florida, Turnesa placed fifth in the second stage after taking home top honors in the first stage.
