Volleyball to Host FSU, Miami in Home Finale

Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State volleyball team will wrap up home play for their season this weekend, hosting Florida State and Miami. The Pack will battle the Seminoles on Friday, Nov. 17 at 7 p.m. before challenging the Hurricanes on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. Both matches will take place at Reynolds Coliseum on the NC State campus. NC State enters the weekend at 2-25 (0-18 ACC) on the season.
Chrissy Zirpolo leads the Wolfpack offense with 2.80 kills per game while Allison Davis hoists an average of 9.07 assists. Kelley Blakewood has 25 service aces on the season and Andrea Bentley contributes 2.72 digs per set. Aiwane Iboaya adds 1.01 blocks per contest.
The Pack last played Florida State on Saturday, Oct. 7 in Tallahassee, Fla., falling 3-0. Makini Thompson leads the Seminoles with 3.89 kills per game. Sarah Griffin has 42 service aces on the season and averages 1.01 blocks per set. The Seminoles stand at 17-10 (11-7 ACC), but will compete in Chapel Hill, N.C., against North Carolina on Thursday, Nov. 16.
The red and white battled Miami on Friday, Oct. 6 in Coral Gables, Fla., losing 3-0. Frannie Savage leads the Hurricanes with 3.70 kills per game while Jill Robinson adds 10.52 assists. Ann Gallo has 27 service aces on the season. The Hurricanes maintain a 10-17 (7-11 ACC) record, but will compete at North Carolina on Friday before heading to Raleigh to face the Pack.
Saturday's match against Miami will be broadcast live online via ACC Select. For more information visit the ACC Select website.
The contest against the Hurricanes will also serve as senior night for Melissa Rabe and Lyssa Ramirez. Both seniors will bow out of the Wolfpack program when their eligibility expires at the end of this season.
