Doubles Played in Rainy First Day of W. Tennis Tourney

The NC State women’s tennis team competed in the first day of the Southern Intercollegiate Tournament in Columbia, S.C. Only doubles were played today because of rain with a full slate on tap for tomorrow. Agustina Arechavaleta and Kristin Bleakley won their doubles event over a pair from Georgia Southern, 8-3.
Alejandra Guerra and Berkeley Brock lost in the flight A and Neils Barringer and Julia Roach fell in the flight B doubles match.
The Barry twins, Lauren and Allison, lost in the flight C doubles draw to wind out the NC State side of the field.
Saturday will feature a full day of competition in singles and doubles for the Wolfpack at the tournament.
