Women's Soccer Travels to Clemson

The NC State women’s soccer team (8-6-2, 3-5 ACC) will travel to Clemson, S.C. take on the Clemson Tigers (9-6-1, 4-3-1 ACC) in the Wolfpack’s final away game of the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. The red and white is 1-3-1 for away games. The Pack is 3-11-3 against the Tigers, and the last time the two teams met, Clemson defeated NC State in Raleigh, 3-1. The game will be available for fans to watch live on ACC Select, the conference’s video broadband network.
NC State travels to Clemson, South Carolina after falling to No. 2 North Carolina in Raleigh. Sophomore Lindsay Vera scored the Wolfpack’s goal in the 4-1 loss, giving the forward her fifth goal of the season, and improving her to 11 points. Vera is now two points away from tying her 2005 season total. Senior Carol Tognetti also netted her first assist of the season in the match against UNC. Senior goalkeeper Megan Connors had seven saves in the match, bringing her season total to 78.
Clemson hosts the Wolfpack after defeating No. 23 Duke, 3-2, in the Tigers’ third straight ACC win. Molly Franklin, Elizabeth Jobe, and Julie Bolt scored the three goals to give Clemson the victory. Goalie Ashley Phillips had nine saves in the match. Katie Vogel was named ACC Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 16 after leading her team to victories over Miami and No. 8 Wake Forest with a goal against the Hurricanes and an assist in the match against the Demon Deacons.
