Women's Soccer Falls to No. 19 Boston College

Newton, MA The NC State women’s soccer team (8-5-2, 3-4 ACC) fell, 3-0, to No. 19 Boston College (9-5-1, 3-3-1 ACC) on Sunday, Oct. 15. Senior goalkeeper Megan Connors had a season high ten saves, also tying her career high saves in a match. The Eagles’ goals were scored by Gina DiMartino, Brianna Wilson-Byrne, and Lauren Georges.
Five minutes into the match, DiMartino took a shot from the left side of the goal and the ball flew past Connors to the far post. The Pack was out shot 13-4 in the first half.
At the 48:47 mark, DiMartino crossed the ball to Wilson-Byrne who booted the ball in for Boston College’s second goal. Less than ten minutes later, Caitlin Burke took a corner kick for the Eagles and Georges headed in the ball past Connors, making the final score 3-0.
The Wolfpack hosts No. 2 North Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 3 p.m. at Method Road Soccer Stadium in RaleighTeam Stats
