Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor track's Ashley Seaton and basketball's Chris McCoy.

Ashley Seaton sure knows how to distance herself from the crowd. She's a veteran of the NC State Women's Track team. Ashley is a graduate student working on her PHD in her Cirriculum and Instruction major. The native of Richmond, Virginia, has posted a perfect 4.00 Total Grade Point Average. Ashley was also named to the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 academic years. .

Chris McCoy spends this time a year contributing to NC State's highly ranked Men's Basketball team. The junior from Prospect, Kentucky, has compiled a perfect 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in his Psychology major. Chris has been named to the NC State Dean's List all four semesters he's been on campus. He was also on the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 academic years.
Congratulations to both Ashley and Chris and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
