Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor gymnastics' Suzanne Price and swimming and diving's Dan Velez.

Don't be suprised if you see Suzanne Price doing backflips. Suzanne is a veteran of the NC State Women's Gymnastics team. Plus, her grades are reason for celebration. The junior from Carrboro, North Carolina, has compiled a 3.941 Total Grade Point Average in her Mechanical Engineering major. Suzanne's also been named to the NC State Dean's List all four semesters she's been on campus. She also made the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 academic years.

Dan Velez is no fish out of water. He's a standout on the NC State Men's Swimming team. The senior from Germantown, Maryland, has posted a 3.66 Total Grade Point Average in his Psychology major. Dan was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the spring of 2005.
Congratulations to both Suzanne and Dan and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
