NC State Volleyball Falls To Fordham

RALEIGH, N.C. - Stefani Eddins tallied 16 kills and seven blocks to lead the NC State volleyball team in a 3-1 loss to Fordham Saturday afternoon in the Wolfpack Classic at Reynolds Coliseum. The Pack mounted a furious comeback in game two to scratch out a 32-30 win and tie the match 1-1 after falling 30-23 in the opening game, but the Rams countered with a .412 team attack percentage, taking games three and four, 30-16, 30-25.
Senior middle blocker Adeola Kosoko added nine kills, six blocks and five digs for the Wolfpack and junior setter Melissa Rabe tallied 43 assists to go with nine digs. Fordham had four players with double digit kills and was led by Marija Markovic, who registered 18 kills, five service aces and Cassie Sharp who accounted for 16 kills, 16 digs.
Fordham improves to 5-2 with the win and NC State falls to 2-1 with the loss. The Rams head back to The Bronx, N.Y., as the tournament champions, sweeping the Wolfpack Classic 3-0. The Wolfpack takes on South Carolina State in the tournament finale Saturday night at 7:30.
