Lyssa Ramirez, a junior on the NC State volleyball team, submitted answers to GoPack.com this past summer on a variety of subjects, most having nothing to do with volleyball. The El Paso, Texas native is a setter who transferred to NC State this fall from Midland (Texas) Junior College, where she was a two-time all-conference selection. Ramirez came off the bench Sunday to lead the Wolfpack with 13 assists.
GoPack: If a movie were made about you, which actor would you want to play the part of you?
LR: Aaliyah if she were alive, but Angelina Jolie would be my second choice.
GoPack: Why did you choose to come to NC State?
LR: The program is remarkable, my visit was the best, the girls are so fun, I fell in love with it!
GoPack: When you were a kid what did you want to be a when you grew up?
LR: Actress.
GoPack: Nobody knows how much you like to what?
LR: Stay home, lay in bed and talk on the phone to my boyfriend and family.
GoPack: What was your most embarrassing moment on the court?
LR: Trying to hit an over pass and totally missing.
GoPack: What are your pregame rituals?
LR: Listen to my slow jams CD.
GoPack: Who would you like to switch places for a day with?
LR: The President.
GoPack: If you had to give up all your possessions but one, which one would you keep?
LR: My favorite blanket that I've had since I was a baby.
GoPack: What person has influenced you the most?
LR: My mother and my father. When everyone was telling me I wouldn't succeed in volleyball my mom is the one that got me where I am today and she doesn't know it but I am truly grateful. And my father taught me to keep my head up and never give up.
GoPack: If you were in charge of practice for a week, what would you do?
LR: Scrimmage. I love scrimmaging.
GoPack: If you could be on a reality TV show which one would you choose?
LR: Real World
GoPack: If you could be on any magazine cover which one would you choose?
LR: Cosmopolitan
GoPack: Which event in history would you have liked to have witnessed?
LR: Martin Luther King Jr.'s speech
GoPack: What was your favorite all-time Christmas gift?
LR: The diamond ring my boyfriend got me ... diamonds are a girl's best friend!
GoPack: In 10 years, where do you plan to be?
LR: I really don't know how I'm going to get through this year!
GoPack: What is your favorite movie?
LR: Emporer's New Groove and B.A.P.S.
GoPack: What is your favorite TV show?
LR: Simpsons
GoPack: What is your favorite food?
LR: Pizza and Chinese
GoPack: If you were rich and bought a boat what would you name it?
LR: The Love Boat because it just sounds funny.
GoPack: Where is your favorite place to shop?
LR: Forever 21
GoPack: What is your biggest pet peeve?
LR: My room being a mess

LR: I love shoes and I can't get enough of them!
