RALEIGH, N.C. - Coach Amato and the Wolfpack football team are calling on all NC State fans to take part in the Walk of Champions. Join the band, cheerleaders and dance team at the walk, which begins two-and-a-half hours prior to each home game, and will take place in front of the Murphy Center at Carter-Finley Stadium. Fans are encouraged to listen for an air siren and concussion "booms" emanating from inside the stadium at 9:30 am. This is the cue that the team is on its way. Depending on traffic, the team should get to the stadium by 9:45 am. But get there early, you don't want to miss this opportunity to greet the team before they battle the Heels.
"When they (fans) support us in the Walk of Champions, it really helps," cornerback AJ Davis says. "It really encourages and pumps us up. It's an adrenalin rush. It's unbelievable walking down and seeing all the support. You're going to play extra hard because they are out there supporting you and you see that."
