Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor track and field's Jennifer Boyd and football's Michael Fedewa.
Jennifer Boyd is a member of the women's track and field team. The junior from Chesapeake, Virginia scores both on the field and in the classroom. Jennifer has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in her Biomedical Engineering major. Her other accomplishments include being named to the NC State Dean's List all four semesters she's been on campus and making the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 seasons.

This is the time of the year that Michael Fedewa lives for. He's a quarterback on the NC State football team. The sophomore from Oxford, North Carolina has been hitting his target in the classroom. Michael has compiled a 3.61 Total Grade Point Average in his Biological Sciences major. Michael was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2004 and the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 season.
Congratulations to both Jennifer and Michael and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
