Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's soccer team has moved three of its four ACC home games this season to SAS Soccer Park, the games were to be held at Method Road. NC State will now face conference rivals North Carolina, Boston College and Wake Forest all in night games at SAS. The Pack's September 25 contest with Maryland will still be played at Method Road at 2:00 p.m.
NC State will open its ACC season against UNC on Wednesday, September 14 at SAS with a kickoff of 7:00 p.m. The Pack also had to move a couple ACC home games later in the year from Sunday afternoon games at Method Road, to Saturday night contests at SAS Soccer Park. NC State will now face Boston College on October 8 and Wake Forest will come to town on October 29. Both of those games will start at 7:00 p.m. at SAS.
In addition to the ACC games at SAS, NC State already had two games on the schedule for the stadium in Cary. NC State will host Charlotte on September 28 and Longwood on October 19 both at SAS Soccer Stadium. Both games are set for 7:00 p.m.
The Pack will open its 2005 season this week. NC State will first travel to No. 22 Old Dominion for a Thursday night game in the season opener. The first home action of the season will be on Saturday and Sunday, as NC State hosts the Adidas Wolfpack Classic. The Pack will host Fairfield on Saturday at 4:00 p.m., and then Mercer on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. Both of those games are scheduled to be held at Method Road, but weather conditions could move the games to SAS Soccer Park.
