Raleigh, N.C. - The NC State men's soccer team scored a 3-1 exhibition win over visiting King College Tuesday afternoon at the Method Road Soccer Complex. Senior Aaron King and sophomores Jonathan Bui and El Hadj Cisse all netted goals on the day for the Pack. The game was divided into three 30-minute halves, and was the first of two exhibition games for NC State this week.
King would start the scoring off in the ninth minute of the game. Junior Joey Bracker took the ball down the left sideline and found classmate Santiago Fusilier in the middle of the field right outside the 18-yard box. Fusilier then crossed the ball to King, who found himself one-on-one with the keeper.
King College would answer in the 19th minute off an unassisted goal by Alex Mendy.
The Pack would finish the game with the last two goals. Bui took a long pass from freshman Jack Weedon and worked his way into the box. Bui slid the ball into the far side of the net in the 45th minute for the eventual gamewinner. NC State's Cisse would add an insurance goal in the 67th minute, off of assists from King and sophomore Ernesto Di Laudo.
NC State held the advantage on shots for the game, 20-7. Senior keepers Jorge Gonzalez and Aaron Sanders both saw time in the Wolfpack nets, with Gonzalez playing 60 minutes and recording one save and Sanders played 30 minutes and also adding a save. King College keeper Brian Crunk finished with nine saves.
The Wolfpack have one more exhibition, when NC State travels to UNC Greensboro on Saturday.
