Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Cross Country's Ashley Seaton and Soccer's Michael Day.

Ashley Seaton knows how to run with the best of them. She's a veteran on the NC State Women's Cross Country team. The Richmond, Virginia native has saved her best for the classroom, where she's compiled a perfect 4.00 in her Liberal Studies Major. The rising senior, who is in NC State's Grad School, was also named to the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 academic years.
It's up to Michael Day to save the day for the NC State Men's Soccer team. He plays goalie for the Pack. In the classroom, the rising sophomore has gone on the offensive. Michael has compiled a 3.63 Total Grade Point Average in his First Year College Major. The native of Harriman, Tennessee was also named to the NC State Dean's List during the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005. Michael was also named to the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 academic year.
Congratulations to both Ashley and Michael and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
Caterpillar and NC State ... partnering to make progress possible.
