Women's Tennis Releases 2005-06 Schedule

RALEIGH, N.C. - On Friday, August 12, head coach Hans Olsen announced the 2005-06 schedule for the Wolfpack women's tennis team. The slate features several challenging programs scattered across the country, in addition to 11 key Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) matches.
NC State will take on 11 teams that were ranked at the end of last spring by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The list of top-flight competitors includes No. 6 Georgia Tech, No. 10 Clemson, No. 11 North Carolina, No. 13 Miami, No. 17 Duke, No. 26 Wake Forest, No. 32 Florida International, No. 41 Maryland, No. 43 Florida State, No. 47 San Diego State and No. 67 Marshall.
Before the start of the spring, the red and white will compete in several fall tournaments, beginning that run by hosting the Residence Inn North Wolfpack Invitational Friday, Sept. 23, through Sunday, Sept. 25.
After battling on the tournament circuit, the Pack will host 13 matches, including UNC Greensboro, Gardner-Webb, Western Carolina, UNC-Wilmington, East Carolina, Elon, Marshall, Wake Forest, Princeton, Florida State, Miami, Virginia and Virginia Tech.
In 10 road treks, NC State will make its way to Florida Atlantic, Florida International, North Carolina, Duke, Penn State (@ San Diego State), San Diego State, Maryland, Boston College, Clemson and Georgia Tech.
The ACC Championships will be held in Cary, N.C., Thursday, Apr. 20 through Sunday, Apr. 23.
