Women's Soccer Begins Preseason Training

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State women's soccer left in the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 9, for a five day training trip to Georgia. The Wolfpack will begin training on the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 10, and will remain at the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Clayton, Ga. until Saturday, Aug. 13. The boarding school is located in Rabun County on a 1,400-acre campus in the mountains of Northeast Georgia between Clayton, Ga. and Franklin, N.C.. Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is a coeducational, college-preparatory, boarding and day school for 300 students in grades 6-12.
NC State will use the dorms, facilities and athletic fields to train for four days before traveling to Athens, Ga. for the first of two preseason matches. The Pack will take on Georgia on Sunday, Aug. 14, before heading back to Raleigh to continue preseason training on the NC State campus.
Head Coach Laura Kerrigan, her staff and the 21 women's soccer players will travel to William & Mary on Saturday, Aug. 20, for their final preseason match before entering the regular season with an away match at High Point, Friday, Aug. 26. The Wolfpack's home schedule begins with College of Charleston on Sunday, Aug. 28. All home matches this season will be played at the SAS Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
