Stahl Johansson and Coman Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Tennis' Elin Stahl Johansson and Wrestling's Jay Coman.

Elin Stahl Johansson came to NC State all the way from Sodertalje, Sweden. She's a standout on the NC State Women's Tennis team. Elin has compiled a 3.60 Total Grade Point Average in her Psychology major. The rising Sophomore was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2004 and made the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 season.

Jay Coman is a standout on the NC State Wrestling team. The native of Durham, North Carolina has also performed well in the classroom. The rising Sophomore has compiled a 3.97 Total Grade Point Average in his History major. Jay was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005. He's also a member of the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 season.
Congratulations to both Elin and Jay and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
