Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Volleyball's Melissa Rabe and Track's Tibor Vegh.

Melissa Rabe knows how to make an impression, both on the court and in the classroom. The rising Sophomore from Greensboro, North Carolina is a standout setter on the NC State Women's Volleyball team. Melissa's best work, however, comes in the classroom where she's compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in her Biochemistry Major. Melissa's also been named to the NC State Dean's List all four semesters she's been on campus, and has been on the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 seasons.

Tibor Vegh knows how to go the distance. His specializes in the long races for the NC State Men's Track team. Tibor, who transferred to NC State from Northern Iowa, is a native of Szekesiehervar, Hungary. The rising Junior has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in his Sociology major. Tibor was also named to the NC State Dean's List during the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005. He was also a member of the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 season.
Congratulations to both Melissa and Tibor and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
