Raleigh, N.C. - NC State men's basketball associate head coach Larry Harris has been named one of Rivals.com Top-25 recruiters nationally for 2005. The website adds: Herb Sendek's right hand man, Harris was pivotal in bringing in top-150 players Courtney Fells, Brandon Costner and Ben McCauley. Most impressive was landing Fells, a five-star prospect, out of Mississippi before most schools really started recruiting him.
The coaches that appear on the list are the men who work behind the scenes, scouring the nation for talented players before putting the full-court press on their top targets.
Those men are assistant college basketball coaches, and some have differentiated themselves as the best in the business when it comes to getting things done on the recruiting trail. The top 25 recruiters in the game today were chosen by Rivals.com's basketball recruiting experts Tim Watts, Justin Young and Jerry Meyer.
