Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Volleyball's Stefani Eddins and Golf's Carter Cheves.

Stefani Eddins knows how to go for the kill. But that's a good thing! The Irving, Texas native is a standout on the NC State Women's Volleyball team, after transferring from North Carolina A&T. But it's in the classroom that the rising junior does her best work. The Parks Recreation and Tourism major has compiled a 3.71 Total Grade Point Average. Stefani was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005.

Carter Cheves knows how to make the cut, both as a standout for the NC State Men's Golf team and in the classroom. The native of Apex, North Carolina has compiled a 3.23 Total Grade Point Average in his Parks Recreation and Tourism major. The rising sophomore was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2004.
Congratulations to both Stefani and Carter and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
Caterpillar and NC State ... partnering to make progress possible.
