Day 2: Nancy Mountcastle
Day 1: Lauren Harling
Hi! This is Lorraine Ballerano, the other junior on the team.
Today was a long day. We had to get up at 5am and we were at the course around 6am. It was still dark when we started to warm up. We had a shotgun start at 7:30. There were 2 groups starting on every hole, so the pace of play was pretty slow. The first 18 holes took about 6 hours and the second 18 over 5 hours. We struggled as team the first round, but improved by 20 strokes the second round. We were lucky that the weather improved greatly from the first 2 days we were here and there was not a drop of rain!
We finally left the course around 7:15, after over 13 hours! Needless to say we were all pretty tired. We stopped by Outback to place a to go order and Coach Marsh brought the food back to the hotel for us. We were all very happy to sit down and eat. After eating dinner we all hung out in the hotel lobby and chatted with some of the other players. We didn't have to go right to bed because unfortunately we have late tee times tomorrow because we didn't play as well as we would have liked. Hopefully we will continue to improve tomorrow!
Ashley will be giving y'all an update after tomorrow's final round.
Lorraine
GO PACK!
