For those fans who attended an event in Reynolds Coliseum this past year, store that memory forever. Next year, the arena will have a new look that includes a new floor, lighting, sound system and seats. Volleyball, gymnastics, wrestling and women's basketball will all inherit the benefits of the improvements.
Recently, the old red arena seats were sold and carted away by the Wolfpack faithful and as of May 9, all of the old floor seats have finally been removed. In addition, the windows have been replaced with sheet rock and all of the old lighting fixtures and speakers have also been taken down. Once everything has been cleaned and polished, the new floor, which is currently just plain wood, will be laid down over the entire floor of reynolds coliseum. This process, which includes sanding, varnishing, painting and polishing, etc., will take several weeks to complete. Once the new new floor is down and complete, new seats will be put into place.
GoPack.com will follow the progress of the renovation throughout the summer. The second installment of photos and their descriptions can be found below.
