Richardson Leads Wolfpack In Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The NC State men's golf team wrapped up competition at the Augusta State Invitational presented by Administaff on Sunday. Jerry Richardson shot 18 over-par to lead the Wolfpack, which finished 18th in an elite field that featured 10 top 25 teams at the par 72 Forest Hills Golf Club.
Carding a three-over second round, Richardson shared the team's best score of the third round, a 79, with Taylor Crosby, who led the Wolfpack with a six-over first round. Stephen Lewton put together his best round of the weekend on the final 18 holes, while Jeremy Langdale fared better in the first two rounds. Garry Hill also competed for NC State.
The host school, Augusta State, won the tournament at 32-over and Chris Kirk from Georgia was the individual medalist at one-over. Complete results are available at www.golfstat.com. The Wolfpack returns to action next weekend, when it hosts the Courtyard by Marriott Intercollegiate at Devils Ridge Golf Club in Holly Springs, N.C. April 7-8.
