Hodge, Stansbury Capture Top Awards at All Sports Banquet

Two Wolfpack basketball stars were presented with top honors during NC State's annual All Sports Banquet, held Monday night at the McKimmon Center. Julius Hodge of the men's basketball team and Tiffany Stansbury from the women's squad were named winners of the H.C. Kennett Award, given annually to NC State's top male and female athletes. Also at the banquet, the MVPs from each of the school's 26 varsity teams were recognized, as well as those student athletes who posted the highest grade point averages for their respective squads.
Hodge, a 6-7 senior from Harlem, closed out a brilliant career by leading the Wolfpack to its first NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 16 years. He finished his career as the leading active scorer in the ACC and the third leading scorer in school history.
Stansbury put together a stellar junior campaign, leading the Wolfpack women in scoring, rebounding, blocked shots and field goal percentage. She was also named second team All-ACC.
