Peele and Haymore Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Cheerleading's Meredith Peele and Travis Haymore.
Meredith Peele has made the grade as a standout on the NC State Cheerleading Team and in the classroom. The Sophomore from Sanford, North Carolina has compiled a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average in her Accounting major. Meredith has also been named to the Dean's List three semesters while at NC State.
Travis Haymore has seen some of the biggest NC State games over the past few years. He's a veteran of the NC State Cheerleading Team. Travis has also come through in the clutch in the classroom, compiling a 3.55 Total Grade Point Average in his Computer Science Major. Travis has also made the NC State Dean's List four different semesters.
Congratulations to both Meredith and Travis and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
