RALEIGH, N.C. - After competing on the road for five of its last seven matches, the NC State women's tennis team is ready to return to the friendly confines of the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on the NC State campus. The Wolfpack has performed well all season long at home, holding a 6-2 spring record in the newly opened facility. Having collected its last win against Gardner-Webb at home on Feb. 27, head coach Hans Olsen and his team draw a difficult task in hosting No. 10 Duke on Wednesday, March 30, at 2:00 p.m. NC State is currently 7-8 (0-5 ACC).
The Blue Devils will enter the match boasting a 10-4 (2-0 ACC) record. Collecting wins in three of its last four contests, the Durham roster is anchored by senior Katie Blaszak, currently ranked No. 39 nationally in singles action by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. Duke dropped its last match at No. 17 Florida on March 23, 4-0.
The Wolfpack feature five players with five or more wins in singles. Freshman Julia Roach leads the Pack with nine, while senior Danielle Stadelmann sports eight, as does junior Barbara Orlay. Sophomore Agustina Arechavaleta is 7-11 in solo matches, while freshman Elin Stahl Johansson holds a 5-12 slate.
