Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2004 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Cross Country's Magin Kebert and Baseball's Jimmy Campbell.
Magin Kebert has made the transition to college life look easy. The freshman from West Lafayette, Indiana has settled in as a member of the NC State Women's Cross Country team. The Biological Sciences major has also been outstanding in the classroom, compiling a 4.00 Total Grade Point Average. Magin was also named to the NC State Dean's List for the Fall semester of 2004.
This is the time of year that Jimmy Campbell lives for. The Junior from Mandeville, Louisiana is a relief pitcher on the NC State Baseball team. While he works on keeping his Earned Run Average low, he's done a good job of keeping his Total Grade Point Average high. Jimmy's compiled a 3.22 GPA in his Communications major. He was also named to the NC State Dean's List during the Spring semester of 2003, and has been on the ACC Honor Roll in 2002-2003 and 2003-2004.
Congratulations to both Magin and Jimmy and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
Caterpillar and NC State ... partnering to make progress possible.
