Raleigh, NC - Support The V Foundation for Cancer Research and "Show Your Spirit" in celebration of College Basketball. This March, companies, school and organizations across the country will combine enthusiasm for one of the nation's most popular sporting events WITH the opportunity to support essential cancer research.
Show Your Spirit encourages companies, schools and organizations to register for the program and, in turn, invite their employees, students, members, etc. to donate $5.00 or more to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. The donation earns the participants the opportunity to wear their favorite team apparel to work, school, etc. on Thursday, March 17th and/or Friday, March 18th.
This display of "spirit" will not only recognize support for their alma mater or favorite sports team, but also serve as a public display of spirit and participation in the fight against cancer. All proceeds from the campaign go directly to cancer research, and each participant receives a blue "V" wristband with the famous Jim Valvano quote and V Foundation motto, "Don't Give Up... Don't Ever Give Up!"® to wear proudly.
"Imagine the impact for cancer research if millions of fans banded together and took these small steps," stated Nick Valvano, CEO of The V Foundation and brother of the late Jimmy V. "Whether someone is a sports fan or not, Show Your Spirit offers a chance to rally around a cause that everyone can support -- cancer research."
Everyone can make a difference in the fight against cancer - Register to participate in Show Your Spirit today! To register or for further information log on to www.jimmyv.org and click on the "Show Your Spirit" link or call 1-800-4JimmyV.
About the V Foundation For Cancer Research
The V Foundation for Cancer Research was founded in 1993 by ESPN and the late Jim Valvano, legendary NC State basketball coach and ESPN commentator.
