NC State football coaches, player and staff gathered Saturday night for the annual awards banquet. The event was held at NC State's McKimmon Center, with the coaches handing out individual awards. Mario Williams won the Governor's Award for team MVP, as the award is given to the player based on his ability, contributions, leadership and intangibles in helping the team to victory. Andre Brown and Garland Heath each took home two awards.
Renaldo Moses won the Mike Hardy Award as he demonstrated a winning attitude and played above his capabilities throughout the season. Moses ranked sixth on the team with eight tackles for loss and third in sacks with three, despite starting only two games his senior season as a reserve defensive end.
The Bo Rein Award had co-recipients, as Chris Young and Chauncey Graham earned the award that is handed out to players who make vital contributions in an unsung role. Young has played in 49 games as the Wolfpack holder on place kicks, tied for career games played on the squad while Graham has been a special teams standout in his career.
Tight end John Ritcher won the Bob Warren Award for integrity and sportsmanship, and Tramain Hall and Jay Davis were co-recipients of the Al Michaels Award for the players who put team before self.
Long snapper William Lee earned the Earle Edwards award for the letterman with the highest GPA.
