RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State volleyball team returns home this weekend after a five-match road swing to host Wake Forest on Friday at 7:00 and Duke on Sunday at 1:00 in historic Reynolds Coliseum. The Wolfpack (7-15, 1-13 ACC) is looking for revenge against the Demon Deacons (13-9, 6-7 ACC) and the Blue Devils (15-6, 9-4 ACC) after losing 3-0 to both a month ago.
NC State is coming off a 3-0 loss at North Carolina Tuesday night. Both Wake Forest and Duke are coming off home wins over Georgia Tech and Clemson last weekend.
Senior co-captain Stefani Eddins leads the ACC in attack percentage and also leads NC State in kills, kills per game, total attacks, points, points per game, block assists, solo blocks and blocks per game. One of the starting middle blockers for the Wolfpack, Eddins is on pace to finish first or second in the school records for season attack percentage, career attack percentage, season blocks and also finish in the top five for career blocks, despite only playing at NC State two seasons after transferring from North Carolina A&T in 2004.
Junior setter Melissa Rabe leads the team in assists and service aces and is third on the squad in digs. She ranks third in the ACC for aces per game. Backup setter Lyssa Ramirez has come off the bench in eight matches this season to provide a lift for the Wolfpack. The transfer junior delivered 13 assists, four digs, two blocks and a kill in two games played at UNC on Tuesday.
Andrea Bentley, a sophomore libero, leads the team in digs, digs per game, and serve reception percentage. She ranks eighth in the ACC for digs per conference game and is second on the team in service aces.
Senior co-captain Adeola Kosoko is second on the team in attack percentage, kills, kills per game, block assists, solo blocks, points and points per game. One of the starting middle blockers, Kosoko ranks eighth in school history with 313 career blocks.
