Lateral Hops
11/2/2005 12:00:00 AM | Pack Athletics
Lateral Hops are an excellent way to improve lateral knee stability. Hold a 5 or 10 pound weight in front of you close to the body. Raise your left foot off the floor and stand on the right leg with the knee slightly bent. Hop laterally to the left, landing and catching yourself on the left leg only, balance and stabilize, then hop back to the right and so on. Emphasize a good solid and balanced landing with each repetition, keeping your chest up and body in a good athletic position.
