Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2005 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor swimming's Amy Baskwell and football's Andrew Evans.

Amy Baskwell is a standout in her sport and in the classroom. Amy is a veteran on the NC State Women's Swimming team. The junior from Charlotte, North Carolina has compiled a 3.74 Total Grade Point Average. Amy, who majors in Communications, has also been named to the NC State Dean's List three semesters and was on the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 seasons.

Playing football for the Wolfpack comes naturally to Andrew Evans. He's the son of NC State great Johnny Evans, who now resides in the broadcast booth. And his twin brother, Daniel, plays quarterback for the Pack. The redshirt freshman has compiled a 3.38 total Grade Point Average in his Business major. Andrew was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the spring of 2005 and was named to the ACC Honor Roll for the 2004-2005 season.
Congratulations to both Amy and Andrew and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
