Raleigh, N.C. - The No. 11 NC State men's soccer team will take a break from ACC play, and host Longwood this Wednesday night at SAS Soccer Stadium at 7:00 p.m. The Pack (8-4-1, 3-2-1 ACC) will be looking to get back in the win column after having a five game winning streak snapped at Virginia Tech over the weekend. Overall, NC State is 8-2-1 over the last 11 games, including winning five straight non-conference match-ups. The Pack fell from No. 7 to No. 11 in Soccer America's Poll this week, and the NSCAA Coaches Poll will be released Tuesday afternoon.
The Lancers currently sit at 3-8-2 on the season, and will be making their fifth trip of the season to an ACC school. Longwood has already traveled to Clemson, Virginia, Duke and most recently North Carolina, losing all five by a combined score of 15-2. The Lancers are unbeaten in their last two outings, tying NJIT 1-1 and defeating Oneonta 2-0 last weekend.
NC State and Longwood will kickoff at SAS Soccer Park on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
The Wolfpack also made a change to one of its upcoming contests. NC State will host its final game of the season against nationally ranked Wake Forest on Saturday, October 30. That contest has been moved to Method Road Soccer Stadium and will start at 2:00 p.m.
