Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2004 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Soccer's Erin Griswold and Basketball's Ilian Evtimov.
Erin Griswold gets her kicks playing on the NC State Women's Soccer team. The Senior from Garden Grove, California has been a standout both on the field and in the classroom. Erin has compiled a 3.51 Total Grade Point Average in her Psychology major. She was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the spring of 2003 and 2004, and the ACC Honor Roll during the 2003-2004 year.
Ilian Evtimov is a key veteran on the nationally ranked NC State Men's basketball team. The Junior from Sofia, Bulgaria has battled injuries on the court, but has been never let it affect him in the classroom. Ilian has compiled a 3.12 Total Grade Point Average in his Communications major. He's also made the NC State Dean's List in the spring of 2004 and has been a member of the ACC Honor Roll for three straight years.
Congratulations to both Erin and Ilian and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
