Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2004 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Soccer's Christina Mann and Track's Bobby Mack.
Christina Mann knows how to shut down the opposition as a defender on the NC State Women's Soccer team. But in the classroom, the sophomore from Poolesville, Maryland goes on the offensive. Christina has compiled a 3.64 Total Grade Point Average in her First Year College major. She's was also named to the NC State Dean's List in the spring of 04 and was a member of the ACC Honor Roll for the 2003-04 year.
Bobby Mack knows how to go the distance, both as a member of the NC State Men's Track team, and as a scholar-athlete. The sophomore from Winston-Salem, North Carolina has compiled a 3.80 Total Grade Point Average in his History and Social Studies Education major. Bobby was also been named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2003 and spring of 2004, and was son the ACC Honor Roll during the 2003-04 year.
Congratulations to both Christina and Bobby and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
