Wolfpack Volleyball Looks to Defend Home Turf From Buccaneers

The NC State volleyball team will resume non-conference play Tuesday night at home in Reynolds Coliseum against East Tennessee State. Match time is set to begin at 5:30 p.m. The Wolfpack (3-1) is coming off a solid performance in the Summit Hospitality Wolfpack Classic Tournament. Junior middle blocker Adeola Kosoko and senior outside hitter Melanie Rowe both had big weekends for NC State, teaming up for 108 kills, 32 digs and 23 total blocks. Furthermore, Kosoko was named to the all-tournament team and Rowe was honored as the tournament MVP. Freshman setter Lauren Markowski helped lead the Pack by dishing out 163 assists, while junior middle blocker Stefani Eddins racked up 22 total blocks on the weekend. As for the Buccaneers (0-3), they are still in search of their first win after suffering three straight losses at the Mizuno/Auburn Challenge. Junior right side Sara Scandiffio leads the team with 35 kills, to go with 30 digs and 11 total blocks. Meanwhile, freshman middle blocker Callie Kiselich also stepped up defensively for East Tennessee State, tallying 17 digs and a team-best 15 total blocks.
