SUNSET BEACH, N.C. - NC State sent a JV squad from the women's golf team to the Sea Trail Women's Intercollegiate Sept. 25-26 at the par 72, 5,947-yard William Byrd Golf Course in Sunset Beach, N.C. Leslie Stubblefield led the Wolfpack, finishing second overall with an 11-over par score.
Stephanie Derrey tallied a top ten finish in her collegiate debut. The freshman carded a 15-over score to tie for 10th overall. Jessica Vincent also tied for tenth at 15-over. She led the field Saturday with a first round score of 75.
Sarah Davis recorded a top-25 finish with an 18-over total and Dawn-Marie Conaty tied for 35th in her collegiate debut.
The Wolfpack returns to action this weekend when NC State travels to Nashville, Tenn., to compete in the Mason Rudolph Classic at the Ironhorse Golf Course Oct. 1-3.
