Foster Runs Well at US Olympic Trials in 100 Hurdles

Raleigh, N.C. - The U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials wrapped up this past weekend in Sacramento, Calif., and the Wolfpack closed out the weekend strong with one sprinter and one distance runner recently competing. Ebony Foster was the only college runner to advance all the way to the finals of the 100 meters as she finished eighth overall. Kristen Price ran in the 10,000 meters and came home with a 13th place showing.
Foster had to go through two rounds of qualifying to advance to the final round, which had seven professional sprinters and Foster all running. Foster started out by placing 11th in the first round of qualifying with a time of 13.23 on Saturday. Then on Sunday, Foster first finished seventh in the semifinals with her time of 12.81 to advance to the final round. In the finals later that day, Foster placed eighth with a time of 13.04.
Multi-time All-American Kristin Price ran in the 10,000 meters and finished 13th with a time of 33:51.53.
