Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2003 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor swimming's Abby Griffith and soccer's Matthew Lytle.
Abby Griffith will be a senior on the NC State women's swimming team next year. She's a local product from Raleigh, North Carolina who chose to stay close to home. Abby has compiled a 3.818 in her Materials Engineering Major. She also made the NC State Dean's List this past semester.
Matthew Lytle |
Matthew Lytle gets his kicks as part of the NC State men's soccer team. The sophomore to be from Miami Beach, Florida has also excelled in the classroom. Matthew has a 3.667 Total Grade Point Average in his Civil Engineering Major. He was also named to the NC State Dean's List during the spring semester.
Congratulations to both Abby and Matthew and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
