Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2003 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor volleyball's Adeola Kosoko and wrestling's Garrett Cummings.
Adeola Kosoko |
Adeola Kosoko has been a standout for the NC State Women's Volleyball team since she came to campus from her native Omaha, Nebraska. The sophomore, who plays the Outside Hitter position, has been a hit in the classroom as well. Adeola has compiled a 3.75 Total Grade Point Average. The Psychology major was also named to the NC State Dean's List during the Fall semester of 2003.
Garrett Cummings |
Garrett Cummings is a redshirt freshman on the NC State Wrestling team. Garrett came to NC State from a hotbed for wrestling, Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Garrett not only knows his way around the mat, but also the classroom, compiling a 3.41 Total Grade Point Average. He majors in education.
Congratulations to both Adeola and Garrett and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
