Yester and Kollar Named Caterpillar Scholar Athletes

Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2003 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor track and field's Jessie Yester and Chris Kollar.
Jessie Yester |
Jessie Yester is a long distance runner for the NC State Women's Track team. The freshman is a native of Downington, Pennsylvania. Jessie has gone the distance in the classroom with a 3.78 Total Grade Point Average. Among the Chemistry major's other accomplishments are having been named to the NC State Dean's List during the fall semester of 2003.
Chris Kollar |
Chris Kollar is a freshman on the NC State Men's Track team. The Biological Sciences major makes his mark in the distance events. Chris also has does it in the classroom, sporting a 3.62 Total Grade Point Average. The native of Strongsville, Ohio, was also named to the NC State Dean's List during the fall semester of 2003.
Congratulations to both Jessie and Chris and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
