Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Fall 2003 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor gymnastics' Kaitlin Kovary and swimming's Brian Pursley.

Kaitlin Kovary flips for the Wolfpack as a member of the Women's Gymnastics team. This sophomore is a native of Huntington Station, New York. Kaitlin's 3.82 Total Grade Point Average would certainly impress the judges in her sport. The Biological Sciences major also was on the NC State Dean's List during the fall semester of 2003.

Brian Pursley is a veteran on the NC State Men's Swimming team. He made the long trip from his native Phoenix, Arizona to swim for the Pack. Brian has hardly been a fish out of water when it comes to the classroom. The Senior Business major has a 3.52 Total Grade Point Average. Brian's other academic honors include being named to the NC State Dean's List in the fall of 2003.
Congratulations to both Kaitlin and Brian and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
