Softball Cancelled for Today Against Marshall

NC State softball is rained out in its doubleheader today.

RALEIGH, N.C. - Rain has cancelled Tuesday's softball doubleheader between NC State and Marshall, as rain in the Wake County area drenched the Walnut Creek Softball Complex. The Wolfpack was fresh off of its Bronze Championship at the Winthrop Ringor Invitational as was riding a three game win streak. The Wolfpack will host the Charlotte 49ers on Wednesday in a doubleheader at 2 pm.

NC State went 4-2 over the weekend, winning three straight games to close out the tournament with the Bronze Championship. Abbie Sims went 3-0 over the weekend and was named to the all-tournament team, and Jen Chamberlin hit .333 with five RBis and seven hits, including a homerun against Furman.

Shaina Ervin went 1-1, and her bat came alive in the tournament as well. She hit two homeruns with five RBIs, a double, and drew five walks.
