
Wolfpack Barely Edged By No. 14 Virginia Commonwealth, 4-3

CHAPEL HILL - N.C. - After having their last match cancelled due to inclement weather, NC State fell for the first time this season in a very close battle with No. 14 Virginia Commonwealth. The loss brings the team to a 3-1 start.
Senior Jennifer Jassawalla won two quick sets to establish a perfect 4-0 record in singles competition for the season. Sophomore Nandita Chandrasekar and freshman Agustina Arechavaleta each picked up their third victories to become 3-1 on the season. Jassawalla and Arechavaleta also advanced to 3-0 in doubles competition with a win by default.
The Wolfpack will play host to No. 69 Virginia Tech on Sunday in Raleigh. The match is slated to take place at the Varsity Courts on NC State campus beginning at 1:30 pm.
