Softball Reschedules Campbell Game

RALEIGH, NC - The NC State softball game scheduled for 4 p.m. at the University of Campbell in Buies Creek, N.C., on Tuesday, Feb. 17, has been moved to April 1, 4 p.m. at the same location.
The game was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
NC State picked up its inaugural win with an 8-0 decision against Mercer on Saturday, Feb. 14. Freshman pitcher Abbie Sims earned her first collegiate win and a shutout, while allowing just two hits. Freshman Heather Gelbard leads the team with five hits, which includes four doubles, and three runs. Freshman Miranda Ervin also has three hits, including a double. Both lead the team with three RBI.
NC State will travel to Tampa, Fla. for the South Florida Tournament, set for Feb. 20-22. The Pack will face Rhode Island and Pittsburgh on Friday at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., and then South Florida on Saturday at 12 p.m. before beginning bracket play on Sunday.
