Caterpillar is proud to partner with NC State to present a program that honors the achievements of our student-athletes in the classrooms as well as on the playing fields. Each month two Wolfpack Scholar athletes will be selected as a member of the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team. To be named to the Caterpillar Scholar Athlete team, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.00 GPA for at least one semester and be a full-time student at NC State.
During the Spring 2004 semester 236 Wolfpack Student Athletes achieved a semester GPA of 3.00 or higher and 118 student-athletes were Dean's List honorees.
This month Caterpillar and NC State are proud to honor Swimming's Abby Lewis and Soccer's Joey Bracker.
Abby Lewis is a veteran on the NC State Women's Swimming team. The senior from Cullowhee, North Carolina knows how to manuever her way through the swimming pool and the classroom. Abby has compiled a 3.70 Total Grade Point Average in her Biological Sciences major. She's also been on the NC State Dean's List five different semesters and was also named to the ACC Honor Roll three straight years.
Joey Bracker gets his kicks by playing soccer for NC State. The sophomore from Massapequa, New York has scored both on the field and in the classroom. Joey has compiled a 3.60 Total Grade Point Average in his Biological Sciences major. He was also on the NC State Dean's List during the spring semester of 2004 and was named to the ACC Honor Roll during the 2003-2004 year.
Congratulations to both Abby and Joey and all the other Caterpillar Scholar Athletes.
