Wolfpack Rifle Dominates at SEARC #3 / ACC Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C. - On Saturday, Nov. 13, the NC State rifle team collected NCAA and Southeastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) wins over the Citadel, North Georgia, Clemson and Wofford. With the wins under their belt, the Pack moves to 10-1 in the SEARC and 17-2 in NCAA action.
With four members of the red and white finishing in the top ten, NC State dominated the match. Sophomore Jennifer Marshall fired a 577 to lead the Pack with a first-place finish overall, while setting a new school air shot record. Redshirt junior Ryan Dorety shot a 571, while sophomore Matthew Gifford finished with a 568 score, earning the combo second and fifth-place finishes respectively in the finals. Freshman Tom Knight added to the team effort with a 559 score, while redshirt freshman Bill Reynolds contributed a score of 530.
The NC State rifle team will resume action at the Walsh Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday, Nov.19. The following day, the team will square off against the Kentucky Wildcats in Lexington, Ky.
