LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The NC State men's golf team made up 13 strokes in the second round of the Windon Memorial Classic Tuesday at the par 71, 6,849-yard Conway Farms Golf Club, but stumbled in the final round, shooting 23-over-par. The Wolfpack finished 60-over and in 17th place out of the 18-team field. Jerry Richardson led NC State, firing 10-over and tying for 32nd place.

Despite improving by six strokes from the first to second round and maintaining that score in the final round, Rodney Thomas dug himself too deep of a hole with his first round score and finsished 30-over.
Northwestern, the host school, won the tournament with a 13-over total and Peter Richardson from Purdue was the individual medalist at one-under.
